Users are able to log in the web platforms by username and password in the Web1 era while there are only messages and information displayed in the read-only web platforms; when it comes to Web2, users are able to log in web platforms by App accounts, where reading, writing and interaction are available. In the Web3 era, DID (Decentralised Identifier) is used as the means for users to log in web platforms. Once they are endowed with their own digital identities, it becomes an “ownership”, making it possible for the data on Web2 to transform into the users’ assets.
